ECDIS Training Simulator
Image Soft ECDIS Training Simulator for operating Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) in maritime navigation is based on using a real ECDIS software together with the Image Soft ECDIS simulation software. Simulation software provides simulated instrument data (GPS, gyro, AIS etc.) and communicates with the ECDIS either via LAN or serial interfaces using NMEA-messages. Training simulator can utilize the feature of ECDIS to export planned routes when planning training scenarios. ECDIS simulation software can use selected pre-planned routes to steer target vessels along routes.
To build a full mission training simulator Image Soft ECDIS Training Simulator can be connected into the same simulation with other Image Soft simulators: Bridge Visual, Radar and SONAR Simulators.
Image Soft Radar Simulator provides also the radar overlay for ECDIS software.

- Image Soft Radar Simulator for simulating the radar of the trainee's own ship, produces also the radar overlay for the ECDIS software
